Too much stuff
without substance
Too much substance
dumbed down
To play in flow of mudslides
Is baptism in Augean tides
For one glimpse of feigned attention
From a passing forged allusion
Honesty loses to fashion
Introspection becomes translucent
Lost strangers at mid of night
Dark dance lightning the visceral way
Losing sight of a vision blurred
For attention temperance buys
Quickest blink of weary eye
So busy seeking relevance
Breaching honored trespasses
Inter fluid eloquence
For calculated arrogance
When lost ourselves we find
We cease touching a breathing sky
Tame our fiercest dragon dreams for eye to eye
For the regard of strangers passing by
Be not content to conform
Alternate from sanity of norm

Simply stunning..and insightful this day and age, unfortunately. 💋
As you said, unfortunately. It’s sad to see people play the most common denominator card for attention.
Love this! >3
Thank you! I remember reading your post the day I published this and thought you and I were on similar themes. Great minds 🙂
I shall have to concur, humbly 🙂
